The Calgary Climbing Centre is excited to host the 2026 Alberta Senior Provincial Championships at our Chinook and Hanger locations this January.

Event Schedule

• Saturday, January 24 – Alberta Senior Bouldering Provincials @ Chinook
• Sunday, January 25 – Alberta Senior Route Provincials @ Hanger

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend — there is no fee to watch.

Below is a breakdown of facility impacts by location to help you plan your visits.

‍♂ Chinook – Facility Impacts

Wednesday–Friday, January 21–23

• Bouldering CLOSED
• Routes, training areas, and auto belays OPEN

Saturday, January 24

• Alberta Senior Bouldering Provincials
• Gym CLOSED for public climbing (competition in progress)
• Spectators welcome

Sunday, January 25

• Bouldering OPEN (limited problems, competition finals)
• Routes, training areas, and auto belays OPEN

️ Hanger – Facility Impacts

Thursday–Saturday, January 22–24

• Routes OPEN (except steep areas and arch)
• Bouldering, ClimbPark, and training areas OPEN

Sunday, January 25

• Alberta Senior Route Provincials
• Gym CLOSED for public climbing (competition in progress)
• Spectators welcome!

Resets:

Bouldering resets will take place Monday & Tuesday, January 26–27 at Chinook. Half of the bouldering area will be closed during the day, with new problems available after 4:00 PM.

Route resets will start on Monday at Hanger and continue all week!
